Child discounts and free baggage

We think our youngest passengers should pay less. That’s why we give up to a 25% discount to all children aged between 2 and 11 years on all of our fares. On top of this, they are still allowed 1 piece of 23 kg of checked baggage for free! Children under 2 years old (without own seat) can travel for a 90% discount and can bring 1 piece of 10 kg of checked baggage for free.

Onboard

Check in and select your seat online 22 hours prior to your departure. Reserve your seats online, free of charge, guaranteeing your family is seated together - at no extra cost.

Both you and your children can check in 1 piece of 23 kg of baggage per person at no charge (10 kg for infants) and families with children are invited to board the aircraft first whenever possible. On intercontinental flights with SAS, you can even order a special meal for infants and children up to 24 hours before departure and we also provide toys and games onboard.

EuroBonus points for the entire Family

Kids can also earn EuroBonus points. Even infants can join our frequent flyer programme with permission from a parent. A good reason for joining EuroBonus is that children get 50% off and infants travel for free when you book an award trip with SAS.
